Whatever your favourite type of cuisine is, London is absolutely packed with wonderful restaurants to choose from, and there really is something for everybody no matter what sort of atmosphere you’re looking for.

One type of cuisine that we really love as Brits is Italian and London certainly has no shortage of Italian restaurants on offer. This can make it a little tricky when deciding where you should head for your next meal out, as the choice can be a little overwhelming. Which should you try first?

So with that in mind, we’ve put together this post to tell you about three of our favourite Italian restaurants in London, to give you a little bit of inspiration.

Bella Cosa Restaurant

Bella Cosa is a great choice if you’re looking for a restaurant that is a little bit special but won’t break the bank. Located on Canary Wharf, the restaurant has incredible views over the river, and the food is far more luxurious than the reasonable prices would suggest.

The menu features delicious authentic Italian fare, created by Antonio Calo who originally hails from Brindisi in Southern Italy. There is a great selection of meat, fish, pizza and pasta dishes as well as a wine menu.

There is even a complimentary taxi service for anyone within a 1.5 mile radius of their location, which is a wonderful bonus or any night out.

Bocca di Lupo

Head to Soho and you’ll find Bocca di Lupo, a unique restaurant where you will find delicious and unusual food and wine from across all of Italy’s 20 regions. Most things are made by hand at the restaurant, and all other ingredients are lovingly sourced directly from Italy.

They have a room for parties and private functions, so it’s a great location to hold an event, and they also have a Chef’s Counter where you can sit in front of their open kitchen and watch as your food is prepared right in front of you!

Their menu changes daily and always features seasonal food, and all of the wines on their extensive wine list are Italian.

Homeslice Pizza

Everybody loves pizza, and if that’s what you’re looking for then look no further than Homeslice. They serve pizza with a twist, with some toppings that will be familiar, and others that may come as a bit of a surprise.

You can get a margherita pizza if that’s your jam, but you’ll also find combinations such as kimchi, porcini cream and basil on the menu, or spiced lamb, savoy cabbage and sumac yoghurt.

You can buy your pizza either by the slice or whole, and you can even get a 20” pizza if you have a huge appetite (or a few friends to share it with).

You can also enjoy a range of wines, beers, and spirits, so it’s the perfect place to come for a fun, relaxed meal with friends at Covent Garden.
